Contact: Nancy Whitton Menasha in Connecticut for Katrina assistance effort September 16, 2005 NEENAH, Wis. -- When a family shareholder who lives near Westport, Ct., called to ask if Menasha Packaging, based in Neenah, Wis., had a truck that could assist with transportation needs for a local clothing and special items drive to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina, telephones began ringing around the company. The Westport-area hurricane relief drive was very successful, so successful in fact that more trucks were needed to get the items to a Connecticut National Guard collection facility. The materials were being collected at that location for shipment to the Gulf Coast of the U.S. Less than 48 hours later, a 48-foot Menasha truck out of Philadelphia, Pa., rolled into Westport to load and move the locally donated relief supplies to the Guard's storage facility. Menasha Packaging is a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation, one of America's oldest private companies and largest privately held manufacturing companies.
